In this brief post I am going to take a few paragraphs to update readers on where I am going with True Vine Life and why.
Outside of my family and True Vine Investments, which clearly contains a ministry wrapped within a business, the Lord has laid out a vivid pathway before me. He is calling me to write a fable—a fictional parable or allegory—in the form of a novel that will be used to reach (at least) one certain, major people group. This will seemingly open the door to further ministry opportunities. This is something that has been brewing in me now for over a decade. Though I have never been to this nation, nor even have any friends from there, the desire to reach these people with the gospel of Jesus Christ burns like a fire. I become as bold as a lion when I think about it.
I started writing the Essentials series last year as I realized the clear need for subscribers, new believers, and Christians in general, to have a better understanding of certain indispensable Christian principles. I sort of saw it as a general endeavor to benefit both myself and readers, however, in prayer earlier this year, the Lord told me to finish the Essentials before writing the novel. I now see that the insights I have gained and will gain from writing the complete Essentials series will be used to underpin the narrative of the fable. This will ultimately make the novel far more powerful.
Given all this, readers should expect to see a flurry of Essentials over the coming months and years. I will write them as fast as I can, given all my other responsibilities. Upon completion, I hope to have True Vine Investments running with a certain level of successful simplicity that will allow for me to devote the necessary time to write the novel. I may even commit myself to learning the language of this people group. I do fully expect this novel to be "revealed" to me by the Spirit of God, so I may find that I can write it relatively fast. I am excited to get started, but all in His time.
There it is. I could not possibly think of anything else to do with my life. I am constrained to this end. Please pray for me that not one aspect of His full plan in me in this is missed and that He is revealed in power. May God be glorified and the kingdoms of this world shaken.
